The present invention provides a composition of matter having a harmonized form (Phi/phi) of a hydroxyl modified fullerene having a molecular formula of C<SUB>60</SUB>(OH)xH<SUB>y</SUB>∀<SUB>z </SUB>(where x is from 10 to 36, and y is from 0 to 24 and z is from 0 to 12) the composition of matter having substantially the same <SUP>13</SUP>C NMR spectra shown in FIG. 8 having a dominant peak at 170.2 ppm. This peak shows that each carbon atom of C<SUB>60 </SUB>is equally covered by OH groups and that the system [C<SUB>60</SUB>(OH)xH<SUB>y</SUB>∀<SUB>z</SUB>]<SUP>(Phi/phi </SUP>is one body entity.
