<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit excellent in safety, without causing secondary disaster such as electric shock even if a power cable should be cut by any chance. <P>SOLUTION: A power unit (5), which is equipped with a power socket (8) that has a plurality of power supply terminals (8a and 8b) for supplying AC power having specified voltage, is equipped with a determining means (15) which determines the existence of the wire breaking of a power supply path (6) to the above power socket (8), based on whether the potential of the above plural power supply terminals (8a and 8b) changes periodically into first specified potential (DC100V) and second specified potential (Vref) lower than the above first potential, and a breaking means (15) which breaks the power supply to the above power socket when the above determining means determines the wire breaking of the above power supply path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
