<p>The present invention provides a cutting insert which reduces cutting resistance when a cutting process is conducted. The cutting insert includes an upper surface (110a) and a lower surface (110b), two major side surfaces (120), two minor side surfaces (130) and corner side surfaces (140). The cutting insert further includes a major cutting edge part (170), which is formed by a junction between each major side surface and each of the upper surface and the lower surface, and a minor cutting edge part (180), which is formed by a junction between each minor side surface and each of the upper surface and the lower surface, a cutting edge corner part (150), which is provided in each of two corners of each of the upper and lower surfaces, and an inclined corner part (160), which is provided in each of two remaining corners of each of the upper and lower surfaces.</p> |
