The invention relates to a plain ridge tile (1) with a cover tongue (2) and a left or right ridge tongue (4) on a first tile longitudinal edge (3). On an upper side (10) of the cover tongue (2), in the region (22) of the first tile longitudinal side (3), or in the region (22) of the ridge tongue (4), a plane tile segment (11) projects over the upper side (10) of the cover tongue (2), whereby the plane tile segment (11) is embodied with a first segment lateral edge (18), arranged with a second tile parallel edge (7) opposite and facing the first tile longitudinal edge (3) and running parallel to said second longitudinal edge (7).
