摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly make inverter control for suppressing short circuit current even if a motor-generator is rotated by traction run after occurrence of short circuit fault in the semiconductor power switching element of an inverter. SOLUTION: Shift position of an electric vehicle 100 is selected through operation of a shift lever 130 and a P position switch 135. A power supply position is selected by operation of a power switch 118. When short circuit fault is occurring in a part of switching elements Q11-Q32 constituting an inverter INV, selection of the shift position and the power supply position is controlled to avoid simultaneous selection of the power supply position for turning inverter control off and the shift position for disabling a parking lock mechanism. Inverter control for suppressing a short circuit current due to a counterelectromotive force incident to rotation of a motor-generator MG is thereby made certainly after occurrence of short circuit fault.
