PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a battery on a vehicle body, in which the battery can be hardly removed. SOLUTION: The mounting structure for the battery 3 on the vehicle body is provided with a band-like fitting 4 arranged on the battery 3; and a rod 5 laid in an approximately vertical direction between the band-like fitting 4 and a mounting bracket 2, and has a constitution that a hook-like part 5d of the rod 5 is hooked on a penetration opening part 2b formed on a vertical wall part 2a of the mounting bracket 2.
