PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive power tool having excellent work efficiency and operability to prevent damage of a material to be shaved. SOLUTION: This power tool is provided with a motor to be a driving source, a speed reduction mechanism part to transmit rotary power of the motor, a distal end tool holding part to be driven by the motor via the speed reduction mechanism part, an aluminum case storing the distal end tool holding part, a housing adjacent to the case to store the motor, and a fastening screw to mount the case on the housing. A resin cover to cover a head part of the fastening screw is provided on an outer periphery of the case. In the longitudinal direction of the cover, a projecting part to store the fastening screw is provided. Inclination is provided at an end part on an anti-housing side of the projecting part.
