PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner facilitating the moving operation of a dust remover even if the height of the dust remover element is not made higher. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner includes: a motor-driven blower for sucking dust from a dust suction port; a dust collecting part for collecting the dust sucked to the dust suction port; a pleated filter 43 disposed in an air duct disposed between the dust collecting part and the motor-driven blower; a guide rail 44 horizontally constructed extending from one end of the pleated filter 43 to the other end; and the dust remover movably mounted along the guide rail 44, wherein the dust remover 50 is moved along the guide rail 44 to apply vibration to the pleated filter, thereby removing the fine dust adhering to the pleated filter 43. A handle body 60 is provided on the vacuum cleaner body to be stowed therein, the dust remover 50 is provided with a recessed part 52B, and a projecting part 62 of the handle body 60 is inserted into the recessed part 52B to operate and move the dust remover 45.
