The sun visor (1) has a sun visor body (2) and a storage tray (7), which is connected to the sun visor body in a pivot-joint. The storage tray has a bulge (11), in order to receive an article e.g. eyeglasses. The bulge is disposed such that in a locking position of storage tray and in an use position of sun visor body, when same is completely pivoted in the direction of wind shield (32), in a free space (33) at transition of wind shield towards motor vehicle roof (31), or towards the mounting of the wind shield, such that pivoting range of sun visor body is not limited up to its use position.
