A heat-radiating mold and a backlight unit having the same are provided to improve the structure and assembling efficiency of the backlight unit by forming the heat-radiating mold integrally with or removably from the backlight unit. A backlight unit comprises a light source, a heat-radiating mold, a bottom chassis(200), a holder(300), and an inverter. The light source has a light source body(110) including first substrate(120), a second substrate(130), and a partition wall, and electrodes(150). The heat-radiating mold is disposed above the light source and has a heat-radiating member(430) integrally or removably formed at a position corresponding to the electrodes. The heat-radiating member is in contact with the electrodes along both edges of the light source body, thereby radiating high-temperature heat around the electrodes. |
