SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING SIGNAL IN A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A system and a method for transceiving a signal in a communication system are provided to transmit signals to a multi-mode terminal in plural communication systems supporting different communication methods, thereby improving the service efficiency and QOS(Quality of Service) of each communication system. A method for acquiring resource utilization information from a terminal in a BS(Base Station) comprises the following steps of: receiving the resource utilization information of band 1 and band 2(701); analyzing a degree of the resource utilization of an SBC(Strictly Backward Compatibility) communication system using the resource utilization information of band 1 and band 2 and estimating unused resources(703); and transmitting data using the unused resources of band 1 and band 2, and band 3(705).
