A memory module is provided to have a high level data processing speed according to large capacity of the memory module. A memory module(10) includes a memory chip(12), a controller(14), a photo detector(16a) and a photo generator(16b). The controller controls the operation of the memory chip. The photo detector converts an external input light signal into an internal input signal, and then transmits the internal input signal to the controller. The photo generator converts an internal output signal transmitted from the controller into an external output light signal. A light input/output port receives the external input light signal from a device and outputs the external output light signal to the device. |
