A NOVEL CANINE INFLUENZA VIRUS AND VACCINE THEREFORE

Novel canine influenza viruses are provided to inhibit secondary infection of canine influenza viruses and develop a vaccine having improved stability against canine influenza viruses, so that the viruses are useful for prevention and treatment of influenza virus infection. A canine influenza virus of H3N2 serotype(A/Canine/Korea/01/07(H3N2)(KCTC 11205BP)) contains hemagglutinin(HA) of SEQ ID NO:1 and neuraminidase(NA) of SEQ ID NO:2. A canine influenza virus of H3N2 serotype(A/Canine/Korea/02/07(H3N2)(KCTC 11206BP)) contains hemagglutinin(HA) of SEQ ID NO:13 and neuraminidase(NA) of SEQ ID NO:14. A canine influenza virus of H3N2 serotype(A/Canine/Korea/03/07(H3N2)(KCTC 11207BP)) contains hemagglutinin(HA) of SEQ ID NO:15 and neuraminidase(NA) of SEQ ID NO:16. A vaccine composition contains the canine influenza virus or antigen thereof. Further, the vaccine is applied to dog and mixed with canine parainfluenza virus, canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus, bordetella bronchiseptica or a mixture thereof.
