A FREE-CUTTING COPPER ALLOY

摘要

A free-cutting copper alloy is provided to improve machinability of the copper alloy by adding a predetermined amount of calcium and silicon metal compound to the copper alloy. A free-cutting copper alloy comprises Cu, Zn, 0.1~1.5 wt% of Ca, and 0.21~3.07 wt% of Si. The metal composition including Ca and Si is mixed in the copper alloy material, thereby capable of improving machinability.
