A method for correcting a zero point of an alignment layer rubbing apparatus is provided to obtain a correction value for correcting the zero point of the alignment layer rubbing apparatus through a regression analysis method using cell axis values and minimum black luminance values of each of plural LC panels. Plural LC(Liquid Crystal) panels each having cell axis values are prepared(S10). The cell axis values are defined by an angle between first and second alignment axes formed by rubbing each of first and second alignment layers respectively formed on first and second substrates by using an alignment layer rubbing apparatus. The minimum black luminance value is measured with respect to each of the plural LC panels by using a luminance measuring device(S20). By using the minimum black luminance value and the cell axis value of each of the plural LC panels, a correction value for correcting a zero point of the alignment layer rubbing apparatus is calculated(S30). By using the calculated correction value, the zero point of the alignment layer rubbing apparatus is corrected(S40). |
