#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a conveying roller (16) controlled by an operating mechanism (18) and traversing a mail article receiving plate (12) of a feeder (10) of a mail processing machine. The conveying roller has a polyoxymethylene cylindrical wheel comprising a straight tooth formed by a set of teeth. Small independent rollers having perpendicular axis are interposed between the teeth. The independent rollers are assembled on a rotational axle that is arranged in a plane perpendicular to a rotational axis of the wheel. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for transporting a mail article e.g. envelope, towards a mail article selection device in a feeder (claimed) of a mail processing machine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The structure of the conveying roller ensures double functions such as conveying and jogging of the mail articles, thus avoiding friction due to re-jogging rollers, while carrying-out jogging of the articles without harming the transportation of the articles. The conveying roller permits to control and correct the jogging of the articles. The device ensures high performance that is independent of mass and/or of height of the envelopes placed on the feeder.
