PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and measuring device capable of accurately measuring the Poisson's ratio of a thin-film-like material intended to be used. SOLUTION: An optical flat 11 is arranged on the surface of the thin-film-like material 1 whose Poisson's ratio is intended to be determined. In this state, a load is charged so that only bending stress acts on the thin-film-like material 1. In this load charge state, the angleθwhich the hyperbola of a hyperbola-like interference fringe visual recognized through the optical flat 11 forms with a virtual axis Y of the width direction of the thin-film-like material is measured.
