PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that increases dust separation effect in a cyclone section as well as increases effect of collecting the separated dust in a dust collecting section. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a cyclone dust collector 9 connected to an intake side of a motor-driven blower (blower) 7; a helical partition plate 25 for dividing the inside of the cyclone dust collector 9 into the cyclone section 9a for separating dust from the air and a dust collecting section 9b; a passage 26 which is formed in a part of the partition plate 25 and which guides the dust separated in the cyclone section 9a to the dust collecting section 9b; an inlet port 11b formed roughly in the center of the cyclone section 9a; a primary filter 12 to be arranged in the inlet port 11b; an opening 9c which is installed in the dust collecting section 9b and which generates an air flow from the cyclone section 9a to the dust collecting section 9b in communication with the blower 7; a primary filter 18 arranged in the opening 9c; and a secondary filter 13 which is arranged on the upstream side of the blower 7 and which filters the air passed through the primary filter 12 of the inlet port 11b and the air passed through the primary filter 18 of the dust collecting section 9b.
