<p>This invention provides a mass analyzer comprising an ion transport optical system which can enhance the generation efficiency and convergent efficiency of fragment ions and can transfer the generated fragment ions to a later stage with high efficiency. The mass analyzer ionizes a sample in an ionizing chamber (10) and draws the ionized sample into a mass analysis chamber (18). The mass analyzer is characterized by comprising an ion transport optical system provided with electrodes (17, 200-1, 200-2) provided so as to surround an ion optical axis, the electrodes (17, 200-1, 200-2) having a slant face which is slanted so as to be widened toward the direction of travel of the ion optical axis.</p> |
