PURPOSE: To accurately adjust the position of a mirror with a simple device by combining a means for indicating position of a mirror in relation to a mount with a mirror, and sensing the position of the indicating means with a sensor means formed of an inductive coil. CONSTITUTION: In a door mirror, a mirror 32 is fitted to a housing so that position thereof is freely to be adjusted, and position is adjusted by rotating warm gears 86, 88 fixed to output shafts of two motors. As a means for indicating position of the mirror 32, conical tapered rods 34, 36 are provided, and as a means for sensing the indicated position of the mirror 32, a circuit board 52 provided with a pair of flat spiral coils 54 is provided. Change of the alternating current voltage of each coil 54, 55 with a change of thickness of parts of the rods 34, 36 in the same surface with the coils 54, 55 at the time of passing each rod 34, 36 through a hole of the circuit board 52 is detected so as to control the position adjustment. |
