<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic mixture for manufacturing an epoxy compound which can manufacture the epoxy compound at a high degree of conversion and a high selectivity while sufficiently inhibiting the generation of an organic by-product, in manufacturing the epoxy compound by oxidizing olefins. <P>SOLUTION: This catalytic mixture for manufacturing an epoxy compound comprises the following components: a peroxide catalyst represented by formula (1): X<SB>m</SB>*[Z<SB>a</SB>O<SP>2-</SP><SB>b</SB>(O<SB>2</SB>)<SP>2-</SP><SB>c</SB>] (wherein, X is a counter cation; Z is at least, one element selected from the group consisting of the elements of Group 4 to 8 of the periodic table; "m" is an integer of 1 to 16; "a" is an integer of 1 to 32; "b" is an integer of 1 to 64; and "c" is an integer of 1 to 16), a metallic peroxide represented by formula (2): M<SB>2</SB>O<SB>2</SB>and/or formula (3): MO<SB>2</SB>(wherein, M is at least, one element selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal element, an alkaline earth metal element, a divalent transition metal element and a trivalent lanthanide element) and a carboxylic acid anhydride represented by formula (4): (RCO)<SB>2</SB>O (wherein, R is a 1 to 10C hydrocarbon) and/or boric acid represented by formula (5): H<SB>3</SB>BO<SB>3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
