PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injector increasing a flow of fuel only in a primary flow condition. SOLUTION: The injector has two valves 7, 10. The two valves 7, 10 open at different fuel pressures so as to establish the primary flow condition, and then a secondary flow condition. In the primary flow condition, fuel is condensed via an orifice 21. It is characterized in that the orifice 21 adds a branch to a primary flow path of fuel, but it is closed when the secondary valve is displaced to prevent enrichment of fuel in the secondary flow condition.
