PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to sufficiently feel the comfort of a massage and receive the massage in a mentally relaxed posture, and promote a warm-up before an exercise, a recovery from fatigue after the exercise, and the blood circulation of an affected part by promoting an increase in oxygenated hemoglobin (O<SB>2</SB>Hb) by the promotion of muscular tissue circulation. SOLUTION: The frequency of transducers of this massage apparatus is defined to within the range of 15 Hz-45 Hz, especially 30 Hz, so as to provide maximum comfort and improve the massage effect by increasing the oxygenated hemoglobin (O<SB>2</SB>Hb). This massage apparatus is so constituted that, after the user sets a bed face to a neutral posture where the massage apparatus constituting a couch comes into contact with the body, and disposes the parts under the knees higher than the heart, vibrations are applied to the user in a back support position, a lumbar support position, a thigh support position, and a calf support position with the vibration faces tilt relative to the vertical direction within a range of not less than 40°and not more than 90°.
