PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a U-shaped positioning and planting device (1) enabling anyone to easily plant vegetable seedlings in a line to settle the problem that nowadays kitchen garden is daily enjoyed but the vegetable planting is not finely performed. SOLUTION: A U-shaped positioning and planting device (1) is provided by dividing a water-feed pipe or a distribution pipe into two pieces to be U-shaped state and drilling holes (2) of about 25ϕdiameter at the central part of the U-shape at certain intervals in the longitudinal direction, which holes (2). The U-shaped positioning and planting device (1) is put on a ridge (3) as shown in fig. 2, and in that case, the U-shaped positioning and planting device (1) is pressed to be slightly sunk in the soil. When seeding, three to four seeds are put in the hole (2). When planting seedlings, a hole (10) is drilled by sticking a pointed pin (7) in a hole (2), then the U-shaped positioning and planting device (1) is removed, and a seedling is put in the hole (10) and earthed up to be stiffened.
