<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an RFID system in physical distribution field and enhance the efficiency of tag data reading operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a wireless tag is detected, data is read from an EPC area of a memory in the wireless tag, and the read data is outputted as data of EPC. Data is then read from a user area of the memory in the wireless tag. Whether the read data is consitent with the data of EPC is determined.
