<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control apparatus and a fuel property detection apparatus capable of reducing combustion deterioration likely to occur especially at starting of an engine and realizing a better combustion state. <P>SOLUTION: The engine control apparatus as a control apparatus for an engine (engine controlling ECU) includes a program for controlling the fuel injection quantity to a target value determined based on pressure inside a cylinder (cylinder internal pressure) upon performing fuel injection during a startup injection control period t12-t14 in starting of an engine between a prescribed startup timing t12 and an end timing t14 in which a prescribed condition is satisfied. Specifically, in the startup injection control period t12-t14, the apparatus monitors the combustion state and controls the fuel quantity to an appropriate value each time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
