PURPOSE:To supply ink in a variable amount, by performing the supply of ink to an inking roller by utilizing the previous data such as pattern area data of a printing plate when the novel printing due to the printing plate of this time is started after the finish of the printing with the printing plate of the previous time. CONSTITUTION:When the data at the time of the printing due to the printing plate of the previous time from a pattern planimeter is utilized, the image line part data of the printing plate of the previous time in the axial direction of an inking roller is preliminarily stored at first. Next, said data is combined with data showing the number of printed sheets to estimate the ink amount balance on the present inking roller in the axial direction thereof by a processing apparatus. Subsequently, said data is combined with the image line part data of the printing plate of this time in the axial direction of the inking roller to perform operation by the processing apparatus and the supply of ink is performed on the basis of the operation result by an automatic ink supply apparatus. By this method, the irregularity of the ink on the inking roller due to the printing plate of the previous time is perfectly eliminated and the ink amount due to the printing plate of this time can be made well-balanced. |
