PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a versatile safety fence device for maintenance and inspection capable of consistently supporting a safety fence by a simple structure and preventing a service site from being limited. SOLUTION: The safety fence device comprises a safety fence 1 with a stay 3 mounted on a fence plate 2, and a supporting board 7 having a fitting hole 8 with a lower end of the stay 3 being press-fitted therein. The lower end of the stay 3 is fitted in the fitting hole 8 of the supporting board 7, and the safety fence 1 is erected on a floor surface by the supporting board 7.
