PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching control device, along with a rush current limiting circuit and an inverter device, capable of preventing abnormal temperature rising (burning) in a limit resistor by properly opening a switch circuit as required, without erroneously opening the switch circuit under the effect of rising of a resistance value which accompanies temperature rising of the limit resistor.

SOLUTION: An inverter device 21 comprises a voltage acquiring means (ECU6, step S4) which acquires a power supply voltage Vbb from a power supply voltage sensor 8 and an inter-capacitor terminal voltage Vcb from a capacitor voltage sensor 9, otherwise acquires an inter-resistor terminal voltage from a resistive voltage sensor. It also comprises an opening instruction means (ECU6, steps S5-S8) which opens a switch circuit 4 based on an inter-resistor terminal voltage Vrb acquired by calculation with the power supply voltage Vbb and inter-capacitor terminal voltage Vcb or via the resistive voltage sensor, as well as a resistor current Irb measured with a current sensor 7.
