<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption of electric power and heat generation of a drive circuit for driving a plurality of electrooptical elements. <P>SOLUTION: A light emission device 1 is equipped with the drive circuit 20 which drives the N electrooptical elements E based on the gradation data D1 to DN. A judgment section 322 judges whether all of the gradation data D1 to DN of one line are zero (instructing the light out of the electrooptical elements E) or not. A timing control circuit 324 controls the drive circuit 20 by the supply of a control signal SC including a clock signal CLK. When the judgment section 322 has judged that the gradation data D1 to DN are zero, a stop control section 50 stops the drive circuit 20 by stopping the supply of the clock signal CLK during the period of time that the gradation data D1 to DN are supplied to the drive circuit 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
