PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device, which can be downsized as a whole even while utilizing, by selection, the maximum pressure of pilot pressures acting on respective pilot chambers. SOLUTION: The hydraulic control device is provided with plural pilot chambers 4 forming caps 3 and facing ends of spools S, a maximum pressure passage 11 communicated with all or a plurality of the pilot chambers 4, and valve mechanisms A provided in communication processes of the maximum passage 11 with each pilot chamber 4. The valve mechanism A is comprised of a sleeve 12 forming a communication passage 12a communicating the pilot chamber 4 with the maximum pressure passage 11, and a valve element 13 incorporated in the sleeve 12 and blocking the communication passage 12a. The valve element 13 acts against the pressure of the pilot chamber 4 and the pressure of the maximum pressure passage 11, and when the pressure of the pilot chamber becomes the maximum pressure of the pilot chambers 4, the communication passage 12a is communicated by the maximum pressure.
