<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound to give a photoelectric transfer element having a high photoelectric conversion efficiency in a wide range of from a visible light to a light having a longer wavelength, a pigment for a photoelectric transfer element containing the same, and a photoelectrochemical cell containing the element. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is a complex compound (I) comprising a ligand and a bidentate ligand represented by formula (II) and a metal atom, wherein, Y<SP>1</SP>and Y<SP>2</SP>each contains independently an unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group and an aromatic ring, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each represents independently a salt of an acidic group or an acidic group, A represents a group containing a nitrogen atom, oxygen atom, carbon atom, silicon atom. sulfur atom, or selenium atom, m, a and b each represents independently an integer of 0-2, and satisfies a+b≥1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
