<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm that wiper arm positions have not been exchanged by detecting their respective positions during wiping action. <P>SOLUTION: The wiper device has a pair of wiper motors 5, 8, and pivoting control of the respective wiper arms becomes possible. In the wiper motors 5, 8, it has a constitution for reducing the rotation speed of motor parts 5A, 8B by a worm wheel 45, and an origin position can be detected by a first sensor magnet 52 fixed to the worm wheel 45 and a first sensor 26 at a control circuit side.
