Method of dynamic memory management in an object oriented system

The invention relates to managing memory associated with an object oriented computer system. A method comprises the steps of:

• forming a free link list for object allocation,
• allocating large objects with size greater than a threshold value by coalescing a plurality of nodes to be the same size as the large object with reference to the free link list,
• allocating small objects with size less than a threshold value in a continuous sequence,
• allocating an object (when there is an object the same size as it in a free reuse list) to the memory block assigned to the reusable object.
