A printer cartridge, a cartridge separation detection method, and a printer device are provided to reduce a running cost thereof by increasing efficiency of using an ink ribbon. A printer cartridge includes an ink ribbon(R), a supply spool(54), a winding spool(55), a detector(20), a locking unit, and a guide unit. The supply spool and the winding spool are installed inside of the printer cartridge. The supply spool supplies the ink ribbon. The winding spool winds the ink ribbon. The detector detects separation of a cartridge by checking a locking mode of the locking member. The locking unit locks the cartridge on a printer by rotating on the printer. The guide unit rotates the locking member forcibly for separating the cartridge from the printer.
