The invention provides a cooking apparatus which includes an outer shell having a plurality of apertures, an inner shell suspended inside the outer shell by means of the inner shell resting on studs which penetrate from the outer shell and through the inner shell, the inner shell having a receiving formation for receiving one or more vessels therein, and a plurality of apertures, and which inner shell further includes a catchment channel, a combustion vessel received in the receiving formation and spaced from the inner shell by means of a plurality of supports on which the combustion vessel is suspended from the inner shell, a food supporting structure which is shaped and configured so that, in use, the structure is supported above the combustion vessel, the structure further shaped and configured to define an air passage from the inner shell to a cooking chamber formed between a lid and the structure which passage facilitates the movement of smoke to the cooking chamber. |
