A method for removing lint of a carrier tape is provided to improve quality of the carrier tape by heating only receiving holes where the lint is formed. A method for removing lint of a carrier tape(3) includes the steps of transferring the carrier tape with receiving holes(4) to a receiving hole heating device and periodically applying heat to the receiving holes by using the receiving heating device. The heat is applied to the receiving holes by using a laser irradiation device(20) in the step of periodically applying the heat to the receiving holes. The carrier tape is continuously transferred. A laser irradiation period of the laser irradiation device is adjusted to heat only the receiving holes of the carrier tape.
