Process for making modifed alkyd resins

Suggested is a process for the production of modified alkyd resins by polymerisation of
(a) Polyhydric alcohols,
(b) Polycarboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids or their anhydrides, and
(c) Unsaturated oils or unsaturated fatty acids
in the presence of organic solvents, which is characterised in that unsaturated dialkyl amides are used as solvents.
