A method for reinforcing a soft ground using water is provided to remove water in the soft ground by pressing the soft ground with water filled in banks constructed around the soft ground. A method for reinforcing a soft ground(3) using water includes the steps of: piling a plurality of drain members(10) in the soft ground, with exposing the top part of the drain member; installing a water barrier(6) on the soft ground, wherein the drain members pass through the water barrier; constructing banks(7) along a boundary of the soft ground; building a plurality of sump pits(8) on the water barrier; installing a plurality drain members(10') horizontally above the water barrier within the banks, wherein at least one end of the drain member passes through the sump pit; constructing drain layers(9) above the water barrier to prevent the drain members and the lower parts of the sump pits from being exposed; installing waterproof layers(11) on the banks, the drain layers, and the sump pits; and supplying water(W) to the inside the banks. |
