The invention relates to chemical technology of carbon nanomaterials, particularly to the carbon nanotubes, namely to the production of catalysts for the preparation of carbon nanotubes. A process for the preparation of catalyst of chemical deposition of carbon nanotubes from gas phase comprises the preparation of water solution of aluminum, iron and molybdenum compounds, drying and thermal treatment of the produced mixture of metal compounds. As iron compound water-soluble iron compound with carboxylic acid is taken, as aluminum compound - water-soluble aluminum compound with carboxylic acid or aluminum hydroxide sol, stabilized by carboxylic acid, and after components mixing the produced solution is dispersed at heating to temperature, sufficient for the evaporation of volatile substances and thermal decomposition of metal compounds with carboxylic acids to metal oxides. The use of the invention allows simplifying production method of catalyst preparation, increasing productivity process and eliminating of environmentally harmful wastes. |
