A phase difference compensation film and an IPS(In-Plane Switching) mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to perform both a function of an A-plate compensation film and a function of a C-plate compensation film simultaneously. A phase difference compensation film is formed into a mixture of styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer and styrene-methylmethacrylate copolymer. The styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer contains a first styrene monomer unit and a maleic anhydride monomer unit at a weight ratio of 98~60:2~40. The styrene-methylmethacrylate copolymer contains a second styrene monomer unit and a methylmethacrylate monomer unit at a weight ratio of 80~20:20~80.
