PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic robot finding the lesion of a child who can not fully have a conversation for instance, and to provide a control method and control program of the diagnostic robot. SOLUTION: The diagnostic robot is provided with a reaction observation unit 6 for observing the reaction of a user when the finger 23a of the robot which is a member for palpation is pressed by a pressing unit 5. A lesion recognition unit 7 specifies a palpation point P<SB>max</SB>at which the reaction of the user observed by the reaction observation unit 6 is the largest among palpation points P<SB>1</SB>-P<SB>N</SB>set by a palpation point setting unit 4 and recognizes the palpation point P<SB>max</SB>as a lesion.
