<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit for a vehicle, which displays a display in an easily recognizable way to a driver concerning where and which information is displayed by means of a head-up display, so that information recognizing time is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: An icon display area 21 for a display in a meter, and an icon display area 22 for a center display, are provided to display a display content, determined to have a low order of importance, with the order of recognition easiness lowered, in part of the head-up display 2 that is the most recognizable, with indication of a display unit where it is displayed.
