<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone terminal capable of keeping required functions to be operable without turning off a power source and effectively restricting only an operation that becomes the problem in the portable telephone terminal in a utilization unsuitable time zone. <P>SOLUTION: A function restriction starting/ending time is preset by a key input unit 1 and restriction time zone data are stored in a storage unit. A control unit 5 then carries out a function restriction operation for restricting the utilization of a function packaged in the portable telephone terminal in the set time zone. During the function restriction operation, the portable telephone terminal is disabled from being operated by user key input and regarding a telephone function or an electronic mail function that does not require key input, a call terminating operation and a receiving operation not accompanied with ring-back tone ringing or vibrator vibration are performed.
