PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a removing agent easily coming into eyes and causing possible wrinkles due to friction with lower eyelids when directly applying the removing agent into mascara in the conventional method of removing mascara and also to solve the problem of left over due to little cotton reaching the roots of eye lashes in the method of using cotton. SOLUTION: In the grasping type mascara remover, an upper grasping plate (1) and a lower grasping plate (2) are so arranged as to make a spindle (3) serve as a supporting point and a resilient member (4) is provided behind the spindle and an operation means for opening or closing the upper and lower grasping plates are provided to grasp the eye lashes from above and below with the closure of the tip parts (5) of the upper and lower grasping plates.
