Builder system comprising 0.1-54.9 wt.% alkali metal tripolyphosphate and 0.1-54.9 wt.% iminodisuccinic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof is used to produce automatic dishwasher formulations. An independent claim is also included for automatic dishwasher formulations comprising comprising 0.1-54.9 wt.% alkali metal tripolyphosphate, 0.1-54.9 wt.% iminodisuccinic acid or an alkali metal salt thereof, 1-15 wt.% low-foam nonionic surfactant and 0.1-30 wt.% bleaching agent and optionally bleach activator.
