PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blast circuit breaker capable of easily aligning the axes of both contactors and securing high insulation even it is small in size. SOLUTION: The gas-blast circuit breaker has a movable contactor part 3 and an axis fixed in an aligned state by an insulating cylinder 12 being a cylindrical insulator, and an opening part 22 is provided at the side face at the lower side of the insulating cylinder 12. The opening angle Q of the opening part 22 to the circumference direction of the insulating cylinder 12 is made 60°or more, and the length L (m) in axial direction of the opening part 22 is made to be [4×10<SP>-8</SP>×U] or more when the maximum DC voltage that can be impressed between both contactor parts is made U (V).
