PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a honeycomb structure where low cost and high repairing efficiency are realized and strength against thermal shock is also assured. SOLUTION: In the method for repairing the honeycomb structure where a ceramic honeycomb formed body is baked, at least one of alumina and silica as an aggregate is mixed with an organic binder. After the outer wall defect of the honeycomb structure is buried with an inorganic adhesive whose heat-resisting temperature after hardening is higher than the actual using temperature of the honeycomb structure (S106a), the inorganic adhesive is hardened by the dehydration condensation reaction of the inorganic binder (S106b).
