PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a steam generation time in a cooker wherein the steam is supplied into a heating chamber. SOLUTION: A steam generating container 7 having the steam generating chamber 7a is mounted in the left side part of the heating chamber 3 in a cabinet 2. Water is supplied to the steam generating chamber 7a from a water tank 15 mounted in the lower part of the heating chamber 3 via a pipe 16. The steam generating container 7 is composed of a container main body 71 and a container cover 72 formed of metallic die-cast, and a heater 8 for steam is casted inside the container main body 71. Radiation fins 73-75 are integrally formed on the inside face of the container main body 71. When the heater 8 for steam is turned on, the steam generating container 7 and the radiation fins 73-75 are heated, and water inside the steam generating chamber 7a is heated to be vaporized.
