<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm a toner container, for example, loaded in an apparatus body from the outside and also to prevent complicating a paper ejection surface complicated. <P>SOLUTION: The body 10 of a printer 1 is equipped with the paper ejection surface 130 to receive paper ejected after image formation on its upper surface. A window part 152 through which the user visually confirms a part of the toner container while the toner container is loaded in the body 10 is provided on an opening/closing cover 132 constituting a part of the paper ejection surface 130 and positioned on a leading edge side in a paper conveying direction. The window part 152 is provided on the bottom of a recessed part for window with a part of the center part of the opening/closing cover 132 recessed. Then, an auxiliary tray 16 is installed on the paper ejection surface 130.
